Election Day no school

Report cards were distributed to students yesterday!
Today is Election Day and there is no school for students!

ATTENTION
REMOTE/VIRTUAL PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCE

Wednesday, November 9, 2022
Afternoon 12:30-2:30 PM & Evening 4:30-7:30 PM

Students will be dismissed @ 11:20 AM

Teachers will contact you about participating in the phone or virtual conferences. If you prefer, email the teacher you would like to speak to and request a meeting. If you are unable to connect virtually or by phone during the evening conference or afternoon conference times, we can reschedule for a time that would be convenient for you.

Conducting the conferences remotely helps us promote the safety and health of parents and students, while ensuring these critical conversations with your child's teachers occur. Conferences will occur by:

· Telephone

· e-mail

· ZOOM

· Google Meet or any other platform decided in cooperation with your child’s teacher

This message is from the DOE COVID-19 Response Situation Room. Please see below for a summary of COVID-19 activity in your school.

How can I stay healthy?

Vaccination is the most important tool we have to protect ourselves from COVID-19. We strongly recommend that all age-eligible New Yorkers be vaccinated for COVID-19. Find a vaccine site today at https://vaccinefinder.nyc.gov/. There is no cost to be vaccinated.

Vaccine booster shots are now available for all fully vaccinated people 5 and older. These shots boost your immunity from an initial vaccination series. A booster shot is recommended for any adult who received the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine at least five months ago, the second dose of the Moderna vaccine at least six months ago, or the one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine at least two months ago.

Please remember to follow these important actions to prevent COVID-19 transmission:

Stay home if sick (except to get essential medical care, including COVID-19 testing).
Wear a face covering if you are symptomatic or exposed to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
Practice healthy hand hygiene: Wash your hands often or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer; avoid touching your face; and cover your cough or sneeze with your arm, not your hands.
How can I stay updated?

We will continue to closely follow directions from public health experts and proactively update you on any measures we are taking. To ensure we can reach you via text and email, please create a New York City Schools Account (NYCSA) as soon as possible by visiting schools.nyc.gov/nycsa.
