I.S. 10 Kickboxing Afterschool Program

There is still time to sign up for the I.S. 10 Kickboxing program offered after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Our first class will begin Tuesday, 1/2/24, immediately after winter recess. Permission slips should be submitted by Friday, 12/22/23.

In this afterschool program, your child will learn the fundamentals of Muay Thai kickboxing through partner drills and teamwork. All levels welcome, especially beginners 🙂



All of the equipment is provided by the school such as punch mitts, kick pads, gloves, and shin guards.



There is a $20 registration fee to help fund and support the program. Hand wraps and mouth guards are required as well and are available for purchase through the school ($10 for hand wraps and $5 for a mouth guard). If registration fees and purchasing are an issue, please contact the school and ask to speak with Mr. Wolfe.

With the budget cuts going through City Hall, the schools can use all the help we can get to keep programs running, so please do this today!

Please complete this form for all your children in your household by Monday December 18th , regardless of the school they attend~~grades Pre-K through high school.

Dear Families,

New York City Public Schools (NYCPS) are dedicated to ensuring that every student can learn uninterrupted, including during disruptions caused by building closures. To accomplish this goal, we want to make sure that our students and staff are prepared for successful remote learning. NYCPS has developed a practice plan to support and improve schools' readiness in the event a transition to remote learning is necessary. Our school has been selected to participate in the first round of tech readiness activities on November 30, 2023, however we have been in the process of preparing since September.

What does that mean for your child?

· Your child, in their class will engage in a digital activity to ensure that all students understand how to log on to a device and to their digital accounts.

· In addition to the in-class activity, the teachers will assign a short task for students to complete at home. Please ensure your child completes the digital activity at home.

· If your child does not have access to either a personal internet-enabled device or a NYCPS-issued device at home, be sure to reach out to us to request a device, if you already have told the school about the need for a device, we already have placed your child's name on a request form, and it was sent to the appropriate agency, and we will be waiting for their response.
